Born and raised on the Cheshire/North Wales border, I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist now based in Dunoon, Argyll, on the beautiful west coast of Scotland, with several years' experience of working with adults of differing ages and backgrounds with a range of issues, both in short-term counselling and longer-term therapy. I have a quiet and calm approach to working, with a dash of humour thrown in if appropriate!
I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Wellbeing, Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their code of ethics, as well as having regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.
I also work part time at Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid, providing admin support to the organisation.
And when I'm not counselling, I volunteer for Cancer Research UK as a Campaigns Ambassador representing Argyll and Bute, enjoy long-distance walking, and also relax by reading, cooking, watching films, and drinking gallons of tea!
