I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in Dunoon, Argyll, on the beautiful west coast of Scotland, with several years experience of working with adults of differing ages and backgrounds with a range of issues, both in short-term counselling and longer-term therapy. I have a quiet and calm approach to working, with a dash of humour thrown in if appropriate!
I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychological Wellbeing, Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their code of ethics, as well as having regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development.
I also work part time at Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid, offering counselling to women who have experienced domestic abuse, as well as providing admin support to the organisation.
And when I'm not counselling, I volunteer for Cancer Research UK as a Campaigns Ambassador representing Argyll and Bute, enjoy long-distance walking, and also relax by reading, cooking, watching films, and drinking gallons of tea!
